Funds raised through Naperville Outdoor Alliance support outdoor recreation to encourage health, friendships, community building, and personal mental and physical well-being. Initiatives include Naperville Park District’s Fee Assistance Program, school bicycle programs, and adaptive re-use of Oak Cottage and the Greene Barn In the Greene Valley Forest Preserve becoming open to the public:

Naperville Outdoor Alliance is a charitable tax-exempt entity under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code whose aim is to make outdoor recreation more abundant and accessible to the community by working together with public and private organizations, other nonprofits, and community members. Outdoor recreation contributes to human and environmental health through awareness, movement, and knowledge.

Fee Assistance Program

Some of the funds raised through the Naperville Outdoor Alliance support the Naperville Park District’s Fee Assistance Program. The Naperville Outdoor Alliance supports the recreation needs and desires of the residents of Naperville – encouraging health and wellness, fitness, family time, and fun. The Foundation supports the mission of making recreation of all kinds accessible to everyone across the community, regardless of socioeconomic circumstances.

The Naperville Park District recognizes the importance of recreation and the health and wellness benefits it provides to people of all ages, both from a physical and mental standpoint. The Scholarship Program was created to give residents experiencing financial hardships, the opportunity to enjoy recreation programs and realize the benefits of physical activity and socialization opportunities that many people take for granted. Your contribution makes a difference. Thank you!
