Jim Ensign grew up nearby and moved to Naperville in 1988. He raised three kids here including supporting them through lots of Naperville-area sports.
Jim’s gained a wealth of experience as a parks and recreation professional as well as many years of community involvement. After earning a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in recreation program management, as part of his 25+ years working in the field of parks and recreation: including running Naperville’s Riverwalk and Beach operations.
Jim works as an independent consultant in technology support but his community involvement always continued through volunteerism. He has coordinated youth sports groups, the Naperville Rotary Ride, StPaddysDay5K, NaperLights and served the Park Board the Sister Cities Foundation, and our own Greene Barn Committee. He first joined the NOA board in 2015.
